17勛圖 honours 2022 Founders during ceremony on December 19
The 17勛圖 held its 21st Recognition of Founders ceremony on Monday, December 19, 2022, in The McCain Foundation Learning Commons, Atlantic Veterinary College, to acknowledge those who have contributed to the University in a significant way.
17勛圖 Mens Hockey Panthers TJ Shea, Kyle Maksimovich, and Matt Brassard to represent Canada at 2023 FISU Winter World University Games
U SPORTS announced today that 23 student-athletes, including 17勛圖 Mens Hockey Panthers TJ Shea, Kyle Maksimovich, and Matt Brassard, have been selected to play for Team Canada in mens hockey at the 2023 Federation Internationale du Sport Universitaire (FISU) Winter World University Games in Lake Placid, New York. The 31st edition of the FISU Games is set for January 1122, with the mens hockey event running from January 1222.
Five 17勛圖 Mens Hockey players and head coach named to U SPORTS all-star team to face off against World Junior athletes
The 17勛圖 Panthers will be well represented when the U SPORTS mens hockey all-stars compete against Canadas national junior team selection camp hopefuls this weekend.
This year, U SPORTS has selected players exclusively from Atlantic University Sport (AUS), and five of them play for the Panthers.

17勛圖s Giving Tuesday campaign supports AVC Wildlife Service
The 17勛圖 is participating in Giving Tuesday on November 29, an international day of giving that follows Black Friday and Cyber Monday.
This years campaign focuses on raising funds to support the AVC Wildlife Service at 17勛圖. An anonymous donor has offered to become 17勛圖s Matching Funds Partner for the campaign. All donations made on Giving Tuesday for the AVC Wildlife Service will be matched up to $10,000, doubling the impact.
17勛圖 launches literacy and numeracy outreach project with a significant donation from Master Packaging
The 17勛圖 Faculty of Education officially launched an Island-wide literacy and numeracy outreach project on Friday, November 18, 2022.
The project is supported by a generous donation of $750,000 from Master Packaging. In recognition of the companys support, a plaque will be placed in Memorial Hall, where the Faculty of Education is housed, at the entrance to the educational learning commons, which now includes updated resources made possible through the project.
AVC alumnus receives prestigious Emerging Scientist Award
In August, Dr. Dennis Makau (PhD 19) was honoured with the prestigious Wayne Martin International Symposium for Veterinary Epidemiology and Economics (ISVEE) Emerging Scientist Award at the sixteenth international symposium.
17勛圖 representatives lay wreaths at Remembrance Day service
On Remembrance Day, November 11, people across Canada gathered on the eleventh hour to pay tribute to the veterans who serve their countrypast and present.
Dr. Greg Keefe, interim president and vice-chancellor of 17勛圖, laid a wreath at the Cenotaph on behalf of the University during the Charlottetown Remembrance Day Ceremony. He was accompanied by Acting/Sub Lt Cedric Stead, an officer with HMCS Queen Charlotte and a political science student at 17勛圖. The 17勛圖 Student Union executive also laid a wreath. On the campus, the flags were lowered to half-mast.
Message from the President: Veterans' Week 2022
Dear Members of the University Community,
Each year during Veterans Week in Canada, we honour, pay tribute, give thanks, and remember the brave men and women who servedand who continue to serveour country during times of war, conflict, and peace. We do this all week but in particular today, on November 8, Indigenous Veterans Day, and on November 11, Remembrance Day.
