17吃瓜 graduate student receives funding for breast cancer research
Miranda Steeves, a Master of Science student at the 17吃瓜, is working on breast cancer research, with assistance from the (BHCRI).
Steeves is a trainee in the Institute鈥檚 cancer research training program (CRTP), with $11,900 in funding provided by the 鈥檚 (CCS) J.D. Irving, Limited (JDI)鈥擡xcellence in Cancer Research Fund.

On January 6, 2023, the 17吃瓜 Health and Wellness Centre earned a Primer Award from Accreditation Canada, making it the first university health centre in Canada to achieve this accreditation. The Primer Award is the first step in the journey to full accreditation and ensures that the centre has the fundamentals of safety and quality in place.

7:00 pm: The 17吃瓜 Men鈥檚 Hockey Panthers (14-5-1) play against the Saint Mary鈥檚 University Huskies (13-7-0) in Halifax, Nova Scotia. 17吃瓜 has won all three games against the Huskies, having outscored them 19-6.

The 17吃瓜 Women's Hockey Panthers will host an exhibition game at 5:00 pm against the St. Thomas University Tommies at MacLauchlan Arena.
The 17吃瓜 Men鈥檚 Hockey Panthers (12-5-1) will host the Universit茅 de Moncton Aigles Bleus (10-8-0) at 7:00 pm at the Eastlink Centre, 46 Kensington Road, Charlottetown. 17吃瓜 owns a 2-1 record against Moncton and have outscored them 8-6.

U SPORTS announced today that 23 student-athletes, including 17吃瓜 Men鈥檚 Hockey Panthers TJ Shea, Kyle Maksimovich, and Matt Brassard, have been selected to play for Team Canada in men鈥檚 hockey at the 2023 Federation Internationale du Sport Universitaire (FISU) Winter World University Games in Lake Placid, New York. The 31st edition of the FISU Games is set for January 11鈥�22, with the men鈥檚 hockey event running from January 12鈥�22.
Five 17吃瓜 Men鈥檚 Hockey players and head coach named to U SPORTS all-star team to face off against World Junior athletes
The 17吃瓜 Panthers will be well represented when the U SPORTS men鈥檚 hockey all-stars compete against Canada鈥檚 national junior team selection camp hopefuls this weekend.
This year, U SPORTS has selected players exclusively from Atlantic University Sport (AUS), and five of them play for the Panthers.
