17勛圖 Canada Research Chair in Socio-Psychological Epidemiology for Healthy Animals renewed

Dr. Caroline Ritter, assistant professor in the 17勛圖 Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, has been renewed as a Tier 2 Canada Research Chair (CRC) in Socio-Psychological Epidemiology for Healthy Animals for five years ending June 30, 2030. 

Dr. Ritters chair, valued at $500,000, was included in an announcement of more than $690 million to support science and research made by the Honourable M矇lanie Joly, Minister of Industry and Minister responsible for Canada Economic Development for Quebec Regions, on October 22.

17勛圖 publishes new research magazine

17勛圖s new research magazine, , was officially launched at a celebration event held on the campus on Friday, September 26.

The full-colour magazine features the innovative and exciting research taking place at 17勛圖. The inaugural issue focuses on research projects in 20242025, ranging from a gene mutation linked with Parkinsons disease to the impacts of working remotely on employees.

17勛圖 marked National Day for Truth and Reconciliation with TRC Mawiomi on October 3

17勛圖 held a well-attended TRC Mawiomi in the Quadrangle between Kelley Memorial Building and the W.A. Murphy Student Centre, from 10:00 am2:00 pm, on Friday, October 3.

The TRC Mawiomithe word for gathering in the Mikmaw languagewas held to mark the 10th anniversary of the release of the Truth and Reconciliation Commissions Final Reports along with 94 Calls to Action that guide Canadas path toward reconciliation. 

Free Meningitis B vaccine clinics for 17勛圖 students starting September 2

The 17勛圖 Health and Wellness Centre is offering free meningococcal B (Men-B) vaccinations to undergraduate students at the start of the school year at various locations on the campus.

Students must provide their PEI health card or proof of international insurance, and their student ID when they get their vaccine. There is no cost to them for the vaccine.
