17吃瓜 Convocation 2025 brings a sense of pride and resilience
The excitement and pride were palpable at the 17吃瓜 this past week when over 1,200 members of the Class of 2025 graduated with their undergraduate and graduate degrees.
17吃瓜 to celebrate 2025 graduates during convocation May 13鈥�16
17吃瓜 will celebrate over 1,200 graduates at Convocation ceremonies to be held from May 13 to 16, 2025, at the Chi-Wan Young Sports Centre. Each ceremony will start at 10:00 am and will be preceded by a procession of graduates across campus.
Four outstanding leaders to be honoured during 17吃瓜 Convocation 2025
The 17吃瓜 will honour four outstanding leaders with honorary degrees during Convocation 2025, which will take place from May 13 to 16. Over 1,200 students are set to graduate over four ceremonies, which start at 10:00 am each day at the 17吃瓜 Chi-Wan Young Sports Centre.

17吃瓜 offered Mr. Christopher Griffin the opportunity to participate in a panel discussion to be developed thoughtfully and including other voices on the topic of free expression.
On April 15, upon learning of a planned meeting on April 16, Mr. Griffin requested to be heard at that meeting. In response, the University accepted that request and scheduled a time for his presentation in the Performing Arts Centre Amphitheatre, from 1:00 to 2:00 pm on April 16.
Lauren Rainford and Kamari Scott named 17吃瓜 Athletes of the Year
17吃瓜鈥檚 Department of Athletics and Recreation celebrated the 2024鈥�25 season at the annual 17吃瓜 Panther Celebration 鈥� Athletic Awards Gala on Friday, March 28, recognizing outstanding student-athletes who have excelled in sport, the classroom, and the community.

Honorary degrees are conferred honoris causa, 鈥渇or the sake of honour,鈥� and are intended to recognize outstanding provincial, national, and international contributions in any field of endeavour. Contributions should reflect extraordinary intellectual or artistic achievements, or significant service to society at a standard of excellence that merits the University鈥檚 highest honour.
