17吃瓜鈥檚 Faculty of Graduate Studies (FGS) is establishing a new fellowship program for incoming and existing graduate students in research thesis-based graduate programs.
鈥淐ompetitive financial support is an important factor in the recruitment and retention of graduate students at 17吃瓜,鈥� said Dr. Greg Naterer, vice-president, academic and research. 鈥淕raduate assistantships and supervisor grant/contract funding provide a common form of graduate student support. In addition, graduate fellowships have a significant role.鈥�
Rathlyn Foundation donates $1M for entrance scholarships to 17吃瓜-based medical students
Beginning in the fall of 2025, the Rathlyn Foundation Entrance Scholarships for 17吃瓜 Medical Students will be granted to every 17吃瓜-based medical student in their first year of study. These $2,000 individual scholarships will be funded in perpetuity by an overall gift of $1,000,000 from the Rathlyn Foundation.

The excitement and pride were palpable at the 17吃瓜 this past week when the Class of 2024 graduated with their undergraduate and graduate degrees.
The Convocation ceremonies took place in the 17吃瓜 Chi-Wan Young Sports Centre on May 14 for graduates of the faculties of Veterinary Medicine and Nursing; May 15 for the faculties of Business and Sustainable Design Engineering; May 16 for the faculties of Arts, Education, and Graduate Studies; and May 17 for the Faculty of Science.

Catherine Callbeck Centre for Entrepreneurship opens at 17吃瓜
The 17吃瓜 launched its new student entrepreneurship hub at an official grand opening event today. Named in honour of 17吃瓜鈥檚 former chancellor, the Catherine Callbeck Centre for Entrepreneurship was made possible through a $2.25 million gift from the River Philip Foundation, a contribution of $372,000 from the Atlantic Canada Opportunities Agency (ACOA) and a further $372,000 from Innovation PEI (IPEI), and a $100,000 donation from the Credit Unions of PEI.
