The 17Թ Panthers have a full schedule of hockey and basketball during the week of January 9–15.

Wednesday, January 11:

7:00 pm: The 17Թ Men’s Hockey Panthers (14-5-1) play against the Saint Mary’s University Huskies (13-7-0) in Halifax, Nova Scotia. 17Թ has won all three games against the Huskies, having outscored them 19-6.

Friday, January 13:

***PLEASE NOTE: DUE TO INCLEMENT WEATHER AND THE INABILITY OF THE OPPOSING TEAM TO TRAVEL TO PEI, THE 17Թ MEN'S AND WOMEN'S BASKETBALL GAMES VERSUS UNB HAVE BEEN POSTPONED UNTIL THURSDAY, JANUARY 26 AT THE SAME TIMES AT THE 17Թ CHI-WAN YOUNG SPORTS CENTRE.***

6:00 pm: The 17Թ Women’s Basketball Panthers (6-5) play at home against the University of New Brunswick Reds (6-5) at the Chi-Wan Young Sports Centre. The Panthers look to end a three-game losing skid. 17Թ defeated the Reds early this season with a score of 69-58.

This is “Shoot for the Cure” night with the team raising funds for the Canadian Cancer Society. The link to their donation page is

7:00 pm: The 17Թ Women’s Hockey Panthers (10-6-1) take on the Saint Mary’s Huskies (11-6-1) in Halifax, Nova Scotia. The Panthers are looking for their first win against Saint Mary’s this season.

8:00 pm: The 17Թ Men’s Basketball Panthers (8-3) play at home against the University of New Brunswick Reds (4-7) at the Chi-Wan Young Sports Centre. 17Թ lost their only matchup between the two teams in overtime 82-79.

Saturday, January 14:

7:00 pm: The 17Թ Women’s Hockey Panthers play against the Dalhousie University Tigers in Halifax, Nova Scotia. 17Թ has won two out of the three matchups with each game going to overtime or a shootout.

7:00 pm: The 17Թ Men’s Hockey Panthers play the Acadia Axemen in Wolfville, Nova Scotia. The Panthers are carrying a 3-0 record against the Axemen, including two shutouts.
