17Թ will mark the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation (September 30) with some focused events and observances on campus, including the TRC Mawi'omi on October 3.

The 17Թ men’s and women’s basketball teams are set to compete at the annual Mickey Place Memorial Basketball Tournament. The tournament features nine teams from across Canada and runs from Friday, September 26, to Sunday, September 28.

Mark your calendars for the 35th annual Open House at the Atlantic Veterinary College on Saturday, September 27, from 10 am to 2 pm and explore the captivating world of veterinary medicine.

Dr. Joseph Gordon, Biomedical Sciences with AVC and the Memorial Regional Medical Program at 17Թ, has received national recognition for his innovative use of research and groundbreaking work investigating muscle remodeling in obesity and type 2 diabetes.

17Թ students came together with 17Թ Campus Life, 17Թ Student Union, and the 17Թ Sexual Violence Prevention and Response Office (SV-PRO) on September 16 to paint stones with messages of respect, consent, compassion, and care. 

| Athletics

A new running club has launched at the 17Թ, led by education student and 17Թ Cross Country standout Jack Roberts. The Panther Run Club is open to everyone on campus—students, athletes, staff, faculty, and alumni—and participants are encouraged to bring a friend.
