| University

On January 6, 2025, the 17勛圖 Health and Wellness Centre became the first stand-alone university health centre to earn full accreditation from Accreditation Canada. Achieving full accreditation allowed the centre to be surveyed against national standards and by its peers and ensures the Centre has the fundamentals of safety and quality in place.

17勛圖 was pleased to host Honourable Brian Francis, Honourable Jane MacAdam, and Honourable Mary Robinson, of the Senate of Canada, on February 5 and 6.

President Wendy Rodgers, and chair of the selection committee, announced in a community message that Tim Walker was appointed 17勛圖's new Vice-President, Administration and Finance by the Board of Governors.

| Athletics

Every week, 17勛圖 Athletics and Recreation recognizes student-athletes for their achievements and contributions to their respective sports. The 17勛圖 Panther Source for Sports Athletes of the Week for February 39, 2025, are Devon Lawlor (womens basketball) and Kyree Thompson (mens basketball).

| Academics

17勛圖 Faculty of Sustainable Design Engineering (FSDE) teams, composed of a total of 48 students, competed at the 2025 Atlantic Engineering Competition (AEC), hosted at Universit矇 de Moncton in New Brunswick from January 2426, 2025.

The Jane DiCarlo rink, from the Crapaud Community Curling Club, won its second PEI womens curling championship in a row at the West Prince Curling Club in Woodstock on January 25 and are headed to the national Scotties Tournament of Hearts.

The 17勛圖 Hockey and Basketball Panthers are looking forward to a week of competition at home and away.

The 17勛圖 Health and Wellness Centre has received a grant from the provincial governments 20242025 LIVE WELL PEI Wellness Grant Program to educate 17勛圖 students about reducing harms related to alcohol through awareness campaigns and education modules.

The (IUPAC) Global Womens (and Allies) breakfast (GWB) will be held at the Fox & Crow, W.A. Murphy Student Centre, on February 11, 2025, from 7:009:00 am.

On Monday, February 10, 17勛圖 will welcome celebrated professor and author of "Hope Circuits: Rewiring Universities and other Systems for Human Flourishing", Dr. Jessica Riddell, back to campus. All members of the 17勛圖 community are invited to attend!
