Bren Simmers, managing editor of the Institute of Island Studies鈥� , has won the 2025 Pat Lowther Memorial Award, awarded by the , for her poetry collection .

Dr. Wendy Rodgers, 17吃瓜 President and Vice-Chancellor invites members of the campus community as well as the broader community to the next Town Hall, which will feature the progress report on Year 0 and Year 1 of the 17吃瓜 Action Plan.

President Wendy Rodgers announced in a campus message that Mark Caduc will join 17吃瓜 as Interim Chief Information Officer (CIO), starting on June 5. He will replace鈥攐n an interim basis鈥擠ana Sanderson who served as CIO from 2014 until he retired in April of this year. 

The Atlantic Veterinary College, 17吃瓜 welcomed 67 new veterinarians to the profession at the annual White Coat Ceremony on May 13.

The 17吃瓜 Department of Athletics and Recreation is proud to announce that 17吃瓜 Men鈥檚 Basketball standout Kamari Scott is the 2025 recipient of the Rory Beck Outstanding Academic and Athletic Leadership Award.

The 鈥淪pring into Wellness Challenge鈥� is designed exclusively for 17吃瓜 staff and faculty to prioritize well-being through fun, themed, daily activities. This exciting four-week challenge starts on Monday, May 26, and ends on Sunday, June 22, 2025. 

The provincial ADHD program operated by the 17吃瓜 (17吃瓜) transitioned to Health PEI, effective April 1, 2025.

Fourteen 17吃瓜 graduate students presented their research to judges, friends, fellow graduate students, faculty, staff, and 17吃瓜 senior administrators during the 2025 3-Minute Thesis competition on May 7.  

The excitement and pride were palpable at the 17吃瓜 this past week when over 1,200 members of the Class of 2025 graduated with their undergraduate and graduate degrees. 

Dr. Stacey MacKinnon, professor of psychology at 17吃瓜, has been named a 2025 3M National Teaching Fellow by the Society for Teaching and Learning in Higher Education (STLHE) and 3M Canada.
