The 17吃瓜 Panthers are looking forward to a weekend of competition at home and on the road. 

In this first article, 17吃瓜 announces that the stories of important progress on the 17吃瓜 Action Plan will be shared on a regular basis, under the 鈥淎ction Plan IMPACT鈥� banner, demonstrating how the plan's implementation activities are becoming entrenched in our culture.

The 17吃瓜 congratulates the 113 student-athletes who earned U SPORTS Academic All-Canadian (AAC) status for the 2024鈥�2025 season. This number represents 51.4 per cent of 17吃瓜鈥檚 220 varsity student-athletes. 

Dr. Malcom Murray, professor of philosophy, will be the guest speaker at 17吃瓜's Research on Tap event on Wednesday, December 3, 2025, at 6 pm, at the Salvador Dali Caf茅, 155 Kent Street, Charlottetown, PEI.

17吃瓜 faculty, staff, and students are invited to participate in CBC Maritime Noon鈥檚 live show at the Canadian Centre for Climate Change and Adaptation, St. Peter鈥檚 Bay, on Thursday, November 20, from noon to 1 pm.

17吃瓜 released , at a special panel discussion with various business and sector leaders on November 17. 

Bren Simmers, publication coordinator at the Island Studies Press, the publishing arm of the Institute of Island Studies at 17吃瓜, was awarded the during the Writers鈥� Trust of Canada鈥檚 annual awards ceremony in Toronto on November 13. 

The 17吃瓜 Panther Source for Sports Athletes of the Week for November 10鈥�16 are Ingrid Khuong (women鈥檚 basketball) and Kyree Thompson (men鈥檚 basketball).

Students in Dr. Jeff Collins鈥檚 Comparative Politics course at 17吃瓜 recently had an opportunity to learn about life in three Baltic countries.
