The Atlantic Veterinary College (AVC) at the 17勛圖 (17勛圖) is excited to announce that nominations are open for the 2025 Atlantic Award of Excellence in Veterinary Medicine and Animal Care.

Every week, 17勛圖 Athletics and Recreation recognizes student-athletes for their achievements and contributions to their respective sports. The 17勛圖 Panther Athletes of the Week for January 612, 2025, are Sarah Forsythe (womens hockey) and Kyree Thompson (mens basketball).

Calling all future veterinarians! Applications are now being accepted for the 2025 Dr. Tim Ogilvie AVC Vet Camp (AVC Vet Camp).

| Events

The 17勛圖 campus community is invited to participate in the Access for All 17勛圖 event on January 13, 2025, from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm, in McMillan Hall, W.A. Murphy Student Centre, to raise awareness of and advocate for improved accessibility on campus for students.

 

| Athletics

Two 17勛圖 Mens Hockey student-athletes and head coach Forbes MacPherson are headed to the international stage. Panthers captain Kurtis Henry and assistant captain Kaleb Pearson have been selected to play with Team Canadas hockey team at the 2025 International University Sports Federation (FISU) World Games in Italy this month. MacPherson will serve as an assistant coachhis second time coaching in the FISU World Games.

President Rodgers will kick off a series of President's Town Halls on January 15, 2025. The first topic is an update on the development of 17勛圖's strategic plan for 20252030. All 17勛圖 community members are invited to attend.

Dr. Wendy Rodgers updated the campus community on the search for a new Vice-President, People and Culture. The Advisory Selection Committee will host finalist candidate A on January 9 and finalist candidate B on January 16 for on-campus visits.
