17³Ô¹Ï Action Plan Audit Results for Years 0 and 1
The following message was also emailed to 17³Ô¹Ï students, faculty, and staff on October 16, 2025.
Dear 17³Ô¹Ï Community,
On behalf of the 17³Ô¹Ï Board of Governors, we are pleased to share the independent audit by Deloitte Canada of the implementation of years 0 and 1 of the 17³Ô¹Ï Action Plan. The following reports are found on the 17³Ô¹Ï Action Plan web pages:
Deloitte's audit, under CSAE 3000 standards, confirmed that 17³Ô¹Ï's Implementation Plan (May 1, 2023–April 30, 2025) was executed in all material respects.
17³Ô¹Ï has completed over 95% of the defined actions, thus leading Deloitte to confirm 17³Ô¹Ï’s commitment to the implementation of the Action Plan. During the implementation years 0 and 1 of the 17³Ô¹Ï Action Plan, 17³Ô¹Ï has implemented the majority of the Year 0 and Year 1 implementation plan activities, with 18 of 364 actions and activities deferred to Year 2. Strengths observed included 17³Ô¹Ï leadership demonstrating their commitment to the Action Plan and supporting the audit process through information sharing and consultations.
17³Ô¹Ï is further committed to considering Deloitte Canada’s recommendations made through the audit process.
We thank our community, especially Kate Richard, program manager, and the 23 implementation leads, for supporting culture change and contributing to our progress.
Now in Year 2 of a six-year plan, we aim to extend initiatives beyond the Action Plan and align them with other institutional strategies, including the University’s Strategic Plan.
We remind you to join us for a Town Hall about the audit results tomorrow—Friday, October 17, at 9:30 am in the Performing Arts Centre Amphitheatre (PAC 121S).
As with past town halls, there will opportunities to ask questions. If you are unable to participate in person, you are welcome to join us virtually at this Teams Town Hall link. We hope to see you there!
