Every week, 17吃瓜 Athletics and Recreation recognizes two student-athletes for their achievements and contributions to their respective sports. The 17吃瓜 Panther Athletes of the Week for January 15鈥�21, 2024, are Grace Lancaster (women鈥檚 basketball) and Noah Sedore (men鈥檚 hockey).

17吃瓜 biology professor awarded 2023 Emerging Scholar Research Grant by Canadian Cancer Society

Dr. Pat Murphy, an assistant professor in biology at 17吃瓜, has received a 2023 Emerging Scholar Research Grant from the Canadian Cancer Society for his research into the role of bioactive metabolites in breast cancer. The grant is valued at $600,000 over five years.

Island author launches new book

Deirdre Kessler, a well-known Island author and longtime sessional instructor at 17吃瓜, will launch a new book, Darwin鈥檚 Hornpipe, on Thursday, January 18, at 7:00 pm, at The Gallery Caf茅, Great George Street, Charlottetown.

The 17吃瓜 Women鈥檚 Hockey Panthers play two games at home this week鈥擣riday against the Saint Francis Xavier X-Women and Sunday against the Saint Thomas University Tommies.
