Fans of the 17吃瓜 Men鈥檚 Hockey Panthers may want to keep a program close by because there are plenty of new names donning the green and white this season.

Dr. Caroline Ritter, Canada Research Chair in Veterinary Social Epidemiology at 17吃瓜, has been awarded a SSHRC Insight Grant totalling $212,060 for a project titled 鈥淎n application of cognitive dissonance theory to decisions affecting animal welfare.鈥�

The 17吃瓜 Healthy Campus Committee is offering new programs, activities, and savings to promote and encourage all 17吃瓜 staff and faculty to take advantage of exciting opportunities for health and wellness.

Every week, 17吃瓜 Athletics and Recreation recognizes two student-athletes for their achievements and contributions to their respective sports. The 17吃瓜 Panther Athletes of the Week for September 25鈥揙ctober 1 are Ria Johnston (women鈥檚 rugby) and Evan Couturier (men鈥檚 soccer).

The 17吃瓜 Panther hockey, rugby and cross country teams are looking forward to a full week of events at home and away.

No one knew what to expect from the 2022鈥�23 17吃瓜 Women鈥檚 Hockey squad鈥攁nd no one more so than new head coach Sean Fisher, who inherited a young roster eager to prove themselves. The uncertainty surrounding the team quickly shifted to excitement, as they won four of their first five games, paving the way to one of the best seasons (17-9-2 record) in program history.

The search committee for the Associate Vice-President, Students and Registrar announces upcoming presentations by each of the finalist candidates. Since the search began in May, the committee has undertaken a comprehensive search and selected the following finalists for a series of stakeholder meetings on campus. Presentations are scheduled on the following dates/times.

After a four-year hiatus, the Atlantic Veterinary College鈥檚 (AVC) Open House returned on September 23, bringing smiles and tail wags to all who came.

The 17吃瓜 men鈥檚 and women鈥檚 basketball teams are ready to roll at the annual Mickey Place Memorial Basketball Tournament! The tournament features nine teams from across Canada and runs Friday, September 29, through Sunday, October 1.
