The 17吃瓜 is glad to share the news that Kelly Drummond has been appointed the new Director of Human Resources for the University, effective February 5, 2024.

The 17吃瓜 Panthers are looking forward to a full weekend of hockey, basketball, and track and field at home and away.

Every week, 17吃瓜 Athletics and Recreation recognizes two student-athletes for their achievements and contributions to their respective sports. The 17吃瓜 Panther Athletes of the Week for January 2鈥�7, 2024, are Sarah Forsythe (women鈥檚 hockey) and Kamari Scott (men鈥檚 basketball).

Dr. Joshua MacFadyen, Canada Research Chair in Geospatial Humanities at 17吃瓜, will give a lecture titled 鈥淭ime Flies: An Aerial History of Coastal and Ribbon Development on Prince Edward Island鈥� on January 23, 2024, at 7:00 pm, in the Faculty Lounge (Room 201), SDU Main Building, 17吃瓜.

Dr. Yuqin Gong, manager of institutional research at 17吃瓜, won the Canadian Institutional Research and Planning Association鈥檚 (CIRPA) 2023 Outstanding Service Award on Oct 23, 2023, during the annual CIRPA conference in Winnipeg, Manitoba.

The 17吃瓜 has recently joined the Academics Without Borders (AWB) Network, and Dr. Ann Braithwaite, professor of Diversity and Social Justice Studies at 17吃瓜, has been elected to the AWB board of directors.

In this campus and community message, Interim President Greg Keefe invites students, staff, faculty, retired employees, alumni, and community members to provide feedback on the preliminary draft of the 17吃瓜 Action Plan.

Dr. Edward MacDonald, professor of history at 17吃瓜, was among 78 Canadians named to the Order of Canada by Her Excellency the Right Honourable Mary Simon, Governor General of Canada, on December 28, 2023.

The 17吃瓜 Panthers are looking forward to Minor Sports Weekend from January 5鈥�7 when youth (ages 17 and under) wearing a jersey will be admitted free to any 17吃瓜 home game.
