The inaugural Shannon K. Murray Lecture on Hope and the Academy will take place at the 17吃瓜 Performing Arts Centre on Tuesday, September 5, at 4:00 pm.

With a fresh start and outlook, the 17吃瓜 Panthers are looking ahead to bigger and better things in 2023.

New Student Orientation (NSO) takes place at the 17吃瓜 from September 1鈥� 9, 2023, at various campus locations. 

Students participating in the 2023 17吃瓜 Student Program for Undergraduate Research (SPUR) presented their posters on August 23 in the Faculty of Sustainable Design Engineering Building.

The 17吃瓜 Women鈥檚 Soccer Panthers have secured a commitment from Campbell River, British Columbia native Hannah Loeb for the 2023鈥�24 season.

17吃瓜 is developing a 17吃瓜 Action Plan Advisory Group in response to the Rubin Thomlinson report. Read about the public 鈥淐all for Expressions of Interest," which has been issued to community members who would like to participate in and contribute to the Action Plan process.

For the first time, Prince Edward Island, or Epekwitk, has its own regional Elder to represent the province within the Assembly of First Nations. Elder Judy Clark, 17吃瓜 Elder in Residence, Mi'kmaq woman from Epekwitk, and a member of Abegweit Mi'kmaw Nation, was named 鈥淜nowledge Keeper鈥� and a member of the Assembly of First Nations' (AFN) Council of Elders for the province during the AFN鈥檚 44th annual General Assembly held from July 11 to 13, 2023, in Kjipuktuk (Halifax), Nova Scotia, in Mi鈥檏ma鈥檏i.

Dr. Sarah (nee Proud) Wheeler, graduated from Atlantic Veterinary College (AVC) in 2001, and now her daughter is walking in her footsteps.
