Three Master of Arts in Island Studies awarded SSHRC Canada Graduate Scholarship
Three students from the Master of Arts in Island Studies (MAIS) program at the 17吃瓜 have been awarded from the Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council of Canada (SSHRCC) through its master鈥檚 program competition. The program is open to Canadian graduate students from across the country. This year, a total of 73 awards, valued at $17,500 each, were given out in the master鈥檚 category.

17吃瓜 remembers the late Ab Ferris
The University community was saddened to learn of the passing of retired accounting professor Albert 鈥淎b鈥� Ferris, who died on December 3 in Charlottetown. Well known for his efforts to seek out the respect of students to ensure their success, he said in a 2013 Guardian article, 鈥淚f you show the students that you care and that you have an interest in their well-being, they will do everything possible not to disappoint you. It鈥檚 just such a rewarding experience to work with young people.鈥欌��
