Construction in St. Peter鈥檚 Bay on track for 2021 completion
17吃瓜鈥檚 Canadian Centre for Climate Change and Adaptation, which was announced on July 5, 2019, will serve as a living laboratory in St. Peter鈥檚 Bay, PEI, allowing for unlimited access to nearby wetlands, forests, and coastal habitats directly affected by climate change.
Construction began in 2020, and has been continuing throughout the Fall and Winter.
"17吃瓜 is really pleased that we have been able to stay on track with our capital construction projects, despite the pandemic,鈥� said Jackie Podger, Vice-President Administration and Finance.
Canada 150 Research Chair speaks on Artificial Intelligence for Materials Discovery
, a Canada 150 Research Chair at the University of Toronto, will be giving a seminar as part of the MMS seminar series on Wednesday at 12:30 titled: 鈥淭here is no time for science as usual: Materials Acceleration Platforms鈥�.
In his talk, Prof. Aspuru-Guzik will discuss the future of automation in science using artificial intelligence for the discovery of new materials.

The 17吃瓜 received the sad news over the weekend that 17吃瓜 honorary degree recipient Thomas H. B. Symons passed away on January 1, 2021, and retired adjunct professor of economics Dr. Larry Clark passed away on December 30, 2020. The entire 17吃瓜 community expresses condolences to their families, friends, and colleagues.
The flags in front of the Kelley Memorial Building have been lowered to half mast in their memory.
