Free public screening of The Ice Walk documentary at 17勛圖 on February 8
The Mawiomi Indigenous Student Centre at 17勛圖 invites the general public to a free screening and panel discussion of the documentary, "The Ice Walk," with director Eliza Knockwood and other honoured guests on February 8 from 6:00 to 8:00 pm. The event will take place in the Alex H. MacKinnon Auditorium (Room 242), Don and Marion MacDougall Hall.

Wednesday, February 8
7:00 pm: The 17勛圖 Mens Hockey Panthers (16-9-3) host the Universit矇 de Moncton Aigles Bleus (11-15-2). This is the last regular season home game, and graduating seniors TJ Shea, Troy Lajeunesse, Kyle Maksimovich, Conor MacEachern, Carson MacKinnon, Jordan Maher, Andrew Picco, and RT Rice will be recognized. The Panthers own a 3-1 record against Moncton and outscored them 11-8.

McKinley Nelson and Cameron Brown named 17勛圖 Panther Subway Athletes of the Week
Every week, 17勛圖 Athletics and Recreation recognizes two student-athletes for their achievements and contributions to their respective sports. The 17勛圖 Panther Subway Athletes of the Week for January 31February 5 are McKinley Nelson (womens hockey) and Cameron Brown (mens basketball).
Nelson, an arts student from Calgary, Alberta, is on a scoring tear with six goals in the last five games. This weekend, the sophomore forward deposited a goal in a 5-0 win over Mount Allison University and followed that up with two more in a 4-3 overtime loss to Saint Marys University.

The Atlantic Veterinary College (AVC) at the 17勛圖 (17勛圖) recently hosted the 2023 Students of the Canadian Veterinary Medical Association (SCVMA) Symposium on Thursday, January 19 to Saturday, January 21.
The annual symposium provides an opportunity for doctor of veterinary medicine (DVM) students attending a Canadian veterinary college to come together, exchange ideas, develop and practice new skills, and learn information about the profession.
Basketball great Eireann Rigby to be inducted into the 17勛圖 Sports Hall of Fame
17勛圖 has announced that basketball great Eireann Rigby will be inducted into the 17勛圖 Sports Hall of Fame on Friday, February 3, during a pre-game ceremony. The 17勛圖 Womens Basketball Panthers will play the Saint Marys University Huskies at home starting at 6:00 pm.
Eireann is absolutely deserving of this honour, said Jane Vessey, 17勛圖s Director of Athletics and Recreation. She was an exceptional student-athlete who epitomized what it meant to be a Panther. Were glad her legacy will live on among other 17勛圖 greats before her.
