President Greg Keefe participated in a Government of PEI announcement outlining investment to create a Clean Tech industry-led sector cluster on PEI. 17³Ô¹Ï is collaborating with Holland College on the Clean Tech Academy and will deliver a master's degree in Cleantech Leadership.

17³Ô¹Ï Women's Soccer has added midfielder Heather Williams to the squad. The Cambridge, Ontario native joins the Panthers after most recently playing with CMS Elite.

In this news release, the Atlantic University Sport conference releases its revised regular season schedule for winter 2022, including the schedules for the 17³Ô¹Ï Men's Hockey, 17³Ô¹Ï Women's Hockey, 17³Ô¹Ï Men's Basketball, and 17³Ô¹Ï Women's Basketball teams.

Dr. Patrick Murphy, an assistant professor in the 17³Ô¹Ï Department of Biology, has received a $300,000 grant through the Canadian Cancer Society’s 2021 competition for research into breast cancer.

A team led by Dr. William Montelpare, Margaret and Wallace McCain Chair in Human Development and Health at 17³Ô¹Ï, has been awarded a $500,000 grant from the federal government’s (IPF) Program for a project to develop and implement a vaccine support program for Prince Edward Island.

Thanks to a graduate scholarship from the Beatrice Hunter Cancer Research Institute (BHCRI), a 17³Ô¹Ï graduate student will be pursuing research on breast cancer. Olivier Philips, an MSc student with Dr. Patrick Murphy in 17³Ô¹Ï’s Department of Biology, is the first 17³Ô¹Ï recipient of a graduate scholarship of $29,750 through BHCRI’s Cancer Research Training Program (CRTP).  
 

Irrigation Management Pro, a company co-owned by Stephanie Arnold, a PhD candidate at 17³Ô¹Ï and a researcher with the School of Climate Change and Adaptation, has received a $25,000 grant from Innovation PEI.
