Dr. Edward Chung, director of Asian Studies and professor of religious studies at 17³Ô¹Ï, has been busy. Since 2015, he has published five scholarly books—four monographs and one edited volume, three of which have been published since October 2020.

17³Ô¹Ï congratulates Dr. Margaret Magner, sessional instructor at 17³Ô¹Ï and CEO of the PEI Business Women’s Association, on being named one of the by Atlantic Business Magazine.

During the fall of 2020, Dr. Karem Simon, chair of the 17³Ô¹Ï Department of Music, initiated a series of interviews with our alumni, which was an opportunity for them to share their music and professional journeys. These were presented live to music students during the time slot reserved for Friday afternoon student recitals.

The entire 17³Ô¹Ï community is saddened to learn of the passing of 17³Ô¹Ï Professor Emeritus, Dr. F. Alan Reesor on March 9 in Charlottetown.

It’s the most exciting time of year in winter sports, when both 17³Ô¹Ï hockey teams prepare for the playoffs. 

This week’s 17³Ô¹Ï Panther Subway Athletes for February 28 to March 6 are Alicia Bowering (women’s basketball) and Isaiah Ankra (men’s basketball).

March 8 is International Women’s Day, and 17³Ô¹Ï is fortunate to have an abundance of inspiring women who lead by example as teachers and researchers. Among them are five researchers who are working on Mitacs-funded projects:

The Atlantic Veterinary College (AVC), 17³Ô¹Ï, is proud to congratulate a team of five first-year Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) students who recently participated in the American Veterinary Medical Association’s (AVMA) virtual Animal Welfare Assessment Contest and won awards. 

Every week, 17³Ô¹Ï Athletics and Recreation recognizes two student-athletes for their achievements and dedication to their respective sports. The 17³Ô¹Ï Panther Subway Athletes for February 21 to 27 are Sydney Lyndon (women’s hockey) and Kyle Maksimovich (men’s hockey).
