For the first time since 2019, the Atlantic Veterinary College (AVC) at the 17³Ô¹Ï (17³Ô¹Ï) will open its doors to the public for its 32nd annual Open House.

The Atlantic Veterinary College (AVC), 17³Ô¹Ï, is proud to congratulate Nima Morady, fourth-year doctor of veterinary medicine (DVM) student, on being awarded first place in the Humane Society Veterinary Medical Association’s (HSVMA) Compassionate Care Scholarship competition.

The 42nd annual Terry Fox Run will take place on Sunday, September 18, across Canada. The event will once again be held in person, uniting neighbourhoods and schools as they participate in the 2022 Terry Fox Run. This year’s Charlottetown Terry Fox Run will take place at the 17³Ô¹Ï Alumni Canada Games Place track. Reilly Sullivan, a fourth-year biology student and a member of the Panthers women’s basketball team, is organizing this year’s event.

Students, staff, and faculty were informed on Wednesday, September 14, that 17³Ô¹Ï will observe a one-time statutory holiday on September 19 in observance of a National Day of Mourning for Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II.

Every week, 17³Ô¹Ï Athletics and Recreation recognizes two student-athletes for their achievements and contributions to their respective sports. 17³Ô¹Ï Panther Subway Athletes of the Week for September 5–11 are Emily Duffy (women’s rugby) and Salem Farag (men’s soccer).

Dr. Laurie Brinklow and Dr. Carla Di Giorgio, faculty members at the 17³Ô¹Ï, have been awarded SSHRC Exchange Publication Awards.

Last season, no one knew what to expect from 17³Ô¹Ï’s men’s soccer team. They were a young, inexperienced group who defied expectations and battled their way to a playoff spot. A year later, this team is brimming with confidence and looking to do more than just make the playoffs.

The 17³Ô¹Ï has lowered campus flags to half-mast to honour the passing of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II, Queen of Canada, the United Kingdom, Australia, and New Zealand.
