The 17Թ Panthers hockey and basketball teams are looking forward to a busy weekend of games between January 16–22.

Friday, January 20:

7:00 pm: The 17Թ Women’s Hockey Panthers (12-6-1) host the Université de Moncton Aigles Bleues (8-11-0) at MacLauchlan Arena. The Panthers are riding a five-game winning streak. 17Թ took two out of three games against Moncton and outscored them 5-4.

6:00 pm: The 17Թ Women’s Basketball Panthers (6-5) are away in Antigonish, Nova Scotia, to play the St. Francis Xavier X-Women (3-10). The Panthers took the first two games against this team.

7:00 pm: The 17Թ Men’s Hockey Panthers (14-6-2) are away in Halifax, Nova Scotia, to play the Dalhousie University Tigers (4-16-2). The Panthers hold a 2-1 record against the Tigers.

8:00 pm: The 17Թ Men’s Basketball Panthers (8-3) are away in Antigonish, Nova Scotia, to play the St. Francis Xavier X-Men (11-2). This will be a battle of the top two teams in the AUS with both teams each earning a win in the season series.

Saturday, January 21:

7:00 pm: The 17Թ Women’s Hockey Panthers play at home at MacLauchlan Arena against the St. Francis Xavier X-Women. Both teams each have a win against each other, but St. FX has outscored the Panthers 10-4. This is the annual “Bell Let’s Talk” game to raise awareness of mental health.

6:00 pm: The 17Թ Women’s Basketball Panthers are away in Antigonish, Nova Scotia, to play the St. Francis Xavier X-Women.

7:00 pm: The 17Թ Men’s Hockey Panthers play in Antigonish, Nova Scotia, against the St. Francis Xavier X-Men. The Panthers are 2-1 against the X-Men, outscoring them 16-12.

8:00 pm: The 17Թ Men’s Basketball Panthers are away in Antigonish, Nova Scotia, to play the St. Francis Xavier X-Men.

Reminder: The 17Թ Women’s and Men’s Basketball Panthers games against the University of New Brunswick originally scheduled for January 13 have been rescheduled to Thursday, January 26. The women’s game is in support of the Canadian Cancer Society fundraiser “Shoot for the Cure” and begins at 6:00 pm.
