Island Lecture Series presentation explores PEI tourism from Islanders鈥� perspective
Dr. Susan Graham, associate professor of marketing at 17吃瓜, will give a lecture titled 鈥淎uthentic Prince Edward Island Tourism Experiences: What Locals Have to Say鈥� on November 21, at 7 pm, Faculty Lounge, SDU Main Building, 17吃瓜.
Graham鈥檚 lecture is part of the 2023 island Lecture Series, presented by the Institute of Island Studies at 17吃瓜.

6:00 pm: The 17吃瓜 Women鈥檚 Basketball Panthers (3-3) host the Saint Mary鈥檚 University Huskies (5-1) at the Chi-Wan Young Sports Centre.
8:00 pm: The 17吃瓜 Men鈥檚 Basketball Panthers (3-3) host the Saint Mary鈥檚 University Huskies (1-5) at the Chi-Wan Young Sports Centre.
Lexie Murphy and Kaleb Pearson named 17吃瓜 Panther Athletes of the Week
Every week, 17吃瓜 Athletics and Recreation recognizes two student-athletes for their achievements and contributions to their respective sports. The 17吃瓜 Panther Athletes of the Week for November 6鈥�13 are Lexie Murphy (women鈥檚 hockey) and Kaleb Pearson (men鈥檚 hockey).
Murphy is a science student from Kensington, PEI. The fourth-year forward broke out of her scoring slump during a game on November 10 when she scored two goals in a 4-2 win over the Mount Allison University Mounties.
17吃瓜 Faculty of Medicine secures temporary office space
The 17吃瓜 has secured space at 155 Belvedere Avenue, Suite 202 (the former Island Coastal location) to house the Faculty of Medicine faculty and staff while the new 17吃瓜 facility is under construction at the north end of campus. The new Faculty of Medicine and Interprofessional Health Training Centre building is scheduled to be completed in the summer of 2025.

The inaugural Shannon K. Murray Lecture on Hope and the Academy, presented by Dr. Shannon Murray at 17吃瓜 on September 5, is airing on CBC Radio鈥檚 national program Ideas on Monday, November 13, at 8:00 pm.

17吃瓜 hosts Research on Tap presentation on November 16 about artificial intelligence
The 17吃瓜 is reviving its popular Research on Tap series with a presentation titled 鈥淰ersatile applications of AI in chemistry and education鈥� on November 16 at 6 pm at The Fox & Crow, W.A. Murphy Student Centre at 17吃瓜.

17吃瓜 Alumni and Friends are invited to a pre-game reception at the Gahan House Riverside in Fredericton. Then get loud with us as we cheer on the Women's Hockey Panthers vs the UNB Reds at Aitken University Centre beginning at 7 pm.
