Discussions cover topics such as the value of beading to Indigenous communities, how to decolonize the classroom, and how to incorporate Indigenous knowledge into your practice. Please note that this will be a safe space to ask any questions you may have. Attendance at the event is open to both novice and experienced beaders. Please to ensure we have adequate materials.

Every week, 17³Ô¹Ï Athletics and Recreation recognizes two student-athletes for their achievements and contributions to their respective sports. The 17³Ô¹Ï Panther Athletes of the Week for January 22–28, 2024, are Orianna MacNeil (women’s hockey) and Kamari Scott (men’s basketball).

The Experiential Education Department is offering the principles of diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) training and certification program through the Canadian Centre for Diversity and Inclusion's . This free certificate program is open to 17³Ô¹Ï students and staff under the age of 24.
17³Ô¹Ï instructor wins SSHRC Exchange Publication Award
Dr. Callum Beck, a sessional instructor in religious studies at the 17³Ô¹Ï, has been awarded a $7,000 SSHRC Exchange Publication Award for his monograph, The Belfast Riot of 1847.
The SSHRC Exchange Publication Award is given out annually to support the publication of a manuscript written or edited by 17³Ô¹Ï faculty in the social sciences and humanities. The monograph will be published by Island Studies Press.
