Every week, 17吃瓜 Athletics and Recreation recognizes two student-athletes for their achievements and contributions to their respective sports. The 17吃瓜 Panther Athletes of the Week for January 15鈥�21, 2024, are Grace Lancaster (women鈥檚 basketball) and Noah Sedore (men鈥檚 hockey).
Bell Let's Talk Day
Bell Let鈥檚 Talk Day is Wednesday, January 24. Since 2011, Canadians and people around the globe have joined in the world鈥檚 largest conversation around mental health on Bell Let鈥檚 Talk Day. Together, steps have been taken to reduce the stigma around mental health issues, inspire one another to take action, and help create a Canada where everyone can access the mental health support they need. But it is clear more needs to be done. Real change is needed.

PEI Cleantech Innovative Collaborations
The PEI Cleantech Academy, in collaboration with the Government of PEI, Holland College, 17吃瓜, and Springboard Atlantic, is hosting the inaugural PEI Cleantech Innovative Collaborations event on Thursday, March 7, 2024, at the Delta Prince Edward hotel from 12:00 to 4:00 pm. The event will start with a light lunch, followed by presentations throughout the afternoon from individuals and organizations partnering on innovative cleantech projects or initiatives on PEI.

17吃瓜 Panthers land guard Chloe Collin for 2024 season
In sports, stories of late bloomers turning heads are rare finds. Chloe Collin is one of those rare finds鈥攁n athlete who has moved from the dance floor to the basketball court, culminating in her commitment to the 17吃瓜 Women鈥檚 Basketball Panthers for the 2024 season.
It all started in Grade 6 when Collin, a passionate dancer at the time, received life-changing advice from a perceptive teacher. 鈥淵our height could be used for more than just dance,鈥� the teacher said, unknowingly setting a chain of events that would alter Collin鈥檚 destiny.
