Combo guard Samantha Zoffranieri commits to 17吃瓜

For the first time in five years, the backcourt for 17吃瓜 Women鈥檚 Basketball will look significantly different.
While losing legends Jenna Mae Ellsworth and Reese Baxendale in a single offseason is a tough pill to swallow for any coach, Matt Gamblin is eager to start building up the Panthers鈥� next great backcourt. And he sees a lot of potential in prospect Samantha Zoffranieri, who is set to join the team in the fall.

Family reunion: Aiden Rainford joins sister in women鈥檚 basketball championship pursuit
Fans of 17吃瓜 Women鈥檚 Basketball will get used to hearing the name 鈥淩ainford鈥� more often this fall because they鈥檒l be getting a double dose. The Panthers scored a slam dunk this off-season by recruiting Aiden Rainford, the older sister of AUS all-star Lauren Rainford.
Rainford, who will study psychology, brings a wealth of experience to 17吃瓜. The 23-year-old was a member of Canada鈥檚 under-16 and under-17 national teams, where she gained extensive knowledge from some of the world鈥檚 best coaches.
