Recognition of 17吃瓜 Founders ceremony
Dr. Greg Keefe, president and vice-chancellor (interim), invites, faculty staff, and students to the University鈥檚 2022 Recognition of Founders ceremony on Monday, December 19, at 1:30 pm. During the ceremony, Dr. Douglas Dahn, Cathy Gillan, and Dr. Timothy Ogilvie will be honoured as Founders for their contributions to 17吃瓜. The ceremony and reception will take place in The McCain Foundation Learning Commons, Atlantic Veterinary College. All are welcome to attend.
Atlantic Veterinary College hosts first NSERC Day in Veterinary Medicine
The Atlantic Veterinary College (AVC) at the 17吃瓜 (17吃瓜), with support from the Natural Sciences and Engineering Research Council of Canada (NSERC), hosted its first NSERC Day in Veterinary Medicine on Saturday, November 26.

17吃瓜 students can enjoy free coffee, cookies, and cocoa at a Festive Coffee Break on Tuesday, December 13, from 11:30 am to 1 pm in the W.A. Murphy Student Centre (weather willing!). The Festive Coffee Break is sponsored by the Office of the President.

POSTPONED: Due to the storm delay on Wednesday, December 14, the 17吃瓜 Faculty of Medicine Update originally scheduled for 11 am will be postponed until early in the new year. As soon as a new date is scheduled, a revised invitation will be issued to members of the campus community by email.
Dr. Nebojsa Kujundzic delivered opening keynote lecture at annual international conference in Malta
Dr. Nebojsa Kujundzic, professor of philosophy at the 17吃瓜 and affiliate professor at the University of Malta, delivered an opening keynote lecture and chaired two sessions at a conference in Valletta, Malta, on November 17.
鈥淓ngaging the Contemporary (EtC) 2022鈥� was the seventh edition of a series of an annual international conference organized by the Department of Philosophy of the University of Malta.

17吃瓜 Panthers Men鈥檚 Hockey holiday gift packs are now available for purchase at the Eastlink Centre Box Office. The gift pack offers a great deal to watch one of the country's best hockey teams compete for an AUS title and a national championship.

17吃瓜鈥檚 Teaching and Learning Centre holds successful Faculty Academy Day
17吃瓜鈥檚 Teaching and Learning Centre held its first Faculty Academy Day on September 1, 2022 with 27 instructional staff attending sessions in their Robertson Library Annex learning space. The successful event is a new initiative from the Teaching and Learning Centre, offering collegial professional development primarily for sessional and early career instructors.
Dr. Charlene VanLeeuwen, session facilitator and coordinator of the Teaching and Learning Centre, described the many objectives of the Academy.
