17Թ Fall Open House 2024

Come find out what the 17Թ student experience is all about!

17Թ Fall Open House
Friday, November 1
12:00–4:00 pm
W. A. Murphy Student Centre

We'll have campus tours, information sessions, faculty sessions, giveaways, bookstore discounts, and an application waiver code ($50 savings) for those that attend in-person!

"I've never left the campus since being a student. 17Թ feels like my second home!"

What brought you to 17Թ?

I'm PEI-born and raised, and decided to stay and raise a family here. PEI has so much to offer with all four seasons of outside adventures. When I decided to go to university, 17Թ was the only place I thought about—I've never left the campus since being a student. 17Թ feels like my second home!

A Brief Introduction to First-Year Seminars and Learning Communities

As 17Թ continues to think about the best first-year experience or our students, Shannon Murray and Philip Smith will introduce two successful programs from our past: the First-Year Advantage Program and the senior student-led First-Year Seminar. After a brief description of each program, we will open up the discussion to the larger question of what we hope for in the experience of our first-year undergraduate students. Join us in the Teaching and Learning Centre on Thursday, October 10 at 3:00 pm for a "thought-full" discussion.

17Թ presents Research on Tap

17Թ will host Research on Tap with a presentation titled “Render unto Caesar: Catholics and the Alt-Right” on Wednesday, October 2, at 6 pm, at the Upstreet Brewery Taproom, 41 Allen St., Charlottetown, PEI.

Dr. Ariana Patey, assistant professor, Department of Religious Studies, is the guest speaker for the event.
