17勛圖s Chief Information Officer Dana Sanderson updated the University community on the 17勛圖 Network Modernization Project in messages to students, faculty, and staff this October, which is Cybersecurity Month.

For the first time since 2018, the 17勛圖 Field Hockey Panthers have won the Atlantic University Field Hockey League championship, defeating Saint Mary's in the final 3-0.

The 17勛圖 Mens Basketball Panthers accomplished many firsts in 202122 under Darrell Glenns leadership. The team finished with their best record in five years, fielded an all-star, and earned a playoff spot, then went on to play in the AUS conference finals.

| Community

Each month, the 17勛圖 Experiential Education department hosts an Afternoon of Service whereby a group of students spends an afternoon at a local organization, learning about it and participating in hands-on volunteer activities such as planting trees, harvesting crops, socializing with seniors, and assisting with events. The department is currently seeking organizations that would appreciate volunteer help and are willing to partner with 17勛圖 for this initiative.

The 17勛圖 community is saddened to learn of the passing of 17勛圖 professor emerita, the Honourable Doris Margaret Anderson, CM, of St. Peters Bay, PEI, aged 100 years.

17勛圖s Canadian Centre for Climate Change and Adaptation in St. Peters Bay will host a public Open House on Friday, October 21, 2022, from 9:00 am to 4:00 pm. Members of the public are invited to tour the 45,000-square-foot facility, which houses the 17勛圖 School of Climate Change and Adaptation, the 17勛圖 Climate Lab, and state-of-the-art research centres of excellence, including the Centre of Excellence in Food Security and Sustainability.
