The 17吃瓜 Panthers will be well represented when the U SPORTS men鈥檚 hockey all-stars compete against Canada鈥檚 national junior team selection camp hopefuls this weekend.

In this latest update, the University notified the campus community that conciliation meetings between the University and 17吃瓜 FA will resume on December 8.

17吃瓜 Alumni Canada Games Place rang with cheers and laughter on Friday, December 1, as students in the Faculty of Sustainable Design Engineering鈥檚 sparred off against each other in a go-cart-style car race.

In a campus message, President Keefe encouraged community members to wear purple ribbons to raise awareness about violence against women and children, to consider those for whom violence is a daily reality, and to remember those who have died as a result of it.

Every week, 17吃瓜 Athletics and Recreation recognizes two student-athletes for their achievements and contributions to their respective sports. With no women鈥檚 games on the schedule this past week, one 17吃瓜 Panther Subway Athlete of the Week, men鈥檚 hockey forward TJ Shea, was named for November 28鈥揇ecember 4.

The Lung Association of Nova Scotia & Prince Edward Island visited 19 intermediate schools across PEI this fall to deliver their 鈥淵outh Vaping Awareness Days鈥� events. The events reached over 1,250 grade 7 students from both French and English schools. These events were delivered in partnership with the 17吃瓜 Faculty of Nursing and included presentations, discussions, and games, all of which were intended to increase knowledge and awareness of the health harms of vaping.

In this message to the campus community, President Keefe reminds students, faculty, and staff of the ways to protect each other from the various respiratory illnesses circulating in our communities.

In a joint message sent to students, staff, and faculty, 17吃瓜 Student Union President Adam MacKenzie and interim 17吃瓜 President and Vice-Chancellor Greg Keefe raise awareness and encourage community members to participate in International Day of Persons with Disabilities activities.

The Atlantic Veterinary College (AVC) at the 17吃瓜 recently awarded Dr. Mark Fast, chair and professor, Department of Pathology and Microbiology, AVC, the 2022 Zoetis Award for Research Excellence.

At the 17吃瓜, experiential learning has been a core aspect of the Environmental Studies program since 2011. One way that experiential learning is incorporated into the program is through a required Environmental Studies Internship course for third-year Bachelor of Environmental Studies students.
