U SPORTS announced today that 23 student-athletes, including 17³Ô¹Ï Men’s Hockey Panthers TJ Shea, Kyle Maksimovich, and Matt Brassard, have been selected to play for Team Canada in men’s hockey at the 2023 Federation Internationale du Sport Universitaire (FISU) Winter World University Games in Lake Placid, New York. The 31st edition of the FISU Games is set for January 11–22, with the men’s hockey event running from January 12–22.

The 17³Ô¹Ï Women’s Rugby Panthers have recruited Kiley Brow, a 17-year-old from Saint John, New Brunswick, who plays the prop position and brings a wealth of talent to the team.

The Atlantic Veterinary College (AVC) at the 17³Ô¹Ï (17³Ô¹Ï), with support from the Natural Sciences and Engineering Research Council of Canada (NSERC), hosted its first NSERC Day in Veterinary Medicine on Saturday, November 26.

The 17³Ô¹Ï Panthers will be well represented when the U SPORTS men’s hockey all-stars compete against Canada’s national junior team selection camp hopefuls this weekend.

In this latest update, the University notified the campus community that conciliation meetings between the University and 17³Ô¹Ï FA will resume on December 8.

17³Ô¹Ï Alumni Canada Games Place rang with cheers and laughter on Friday, December 1, as students in the Faculty of Sustainable Design Engineering’s sparred off against each other in a go-cart-style car race.

With no women’s games on the schedule this past week, one 17³Ô¹Ï Panther Subway Athlete of the Week, men’s hockey forward TJ Shea, was named for November 28–December 4.
