17³Ô¹Ï Panthers Field Hockey coach Lacey MacLauchlan was the Assistant Coach for Team Canada’s under-17 female team for a recent ten-day tour of the Netherlands. The trip marked her coaching debut with the national program.
Recently, a few members of the Faculty of Medicine team attended the International Congress on Academic Medicine (ICAM) in Vancouver, which is the premier Canadian meeting for medical schools and medical education with over 1,250 participants. It was fun being one of the new kids on the block, and attendees were very interested in and enthusiastic about what is happening at 17³Ô¹Ï.

On Wednesday, April 10, six 17³Ô¹Ï student teams pitched their business concepts in front of a live audience for a share of $62,000 in prize money during the annual MacLauchlan Panther Pitch Competition. The 17³Ô¹Ï Panthers Cheer Team ended their season on a high note, becoming national champions for the third consecutive year after competing at the Collegiate Median National Championship division of the CheerExpo National Cheerleading Championship 2024. The event took place from April 5 to 7 in Halifax, Nova Scotia.
17³Ô¹Ï awarded research grants totalling $62,788 to 13 faculty members in 2024. Five received internal research grants (IRG), six Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council (SSHRC) Explore research grants (SERG), and two Lévesque human health internal research grants.
