The Atlantic Veterinary College, 17吃瓜, and the broader community have suffered a tremendous loss with the passing of Dr. Sheri Ross, Associate Professor in Small Animal Internal Medicine, on August 16, after a brief but courageous battle with pancreatic cancer.

17吃瓜 Athletics and Recreation is pleased to announce that its field hockey team will now have the opportunity to compete in the Field Hockey Canada U SPORTS National Invitational Championship.

The 17吃瓜 Men's Hockey Panthers have recruited PEI native Zach Biggar who will play defence for the team. 

The 17吃瓜 Women鈥檚 Hockey Panthers are heading to Europe to play four games in three countries from August 19鈥�30, 2024.

Dr. Jessica Riddell, professor of early modern literature at Bishop鈥檚 University, will give the second Shannon K. Murray Lecture on Hope and the Academy on September 3, at 11 am, in the Dr. Steel Recital Hall, Steel Building, 17吃瓜. 

Researchers from 17吃瓜鈥檚 Active Living Lab are seeking people with cancer, or who have previously had cancer, to participate in a twice-weekly, 12-week exercise program.

Dr. Greg Naterer, 17吃瓜 Vice-President, Academic and Research, recently received an international award from the American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics (AIAA).

The 17吃瓜 has teamed up with the Chief Public Health Office (CPHO) of PEI to provide 17吃瓜 students and any member of the University community at risk of experiencing or witnessing a drug-related overdose with free Naloxone kits through the provincial . 

鈥淢usic and the Mind Maritimes: Access to Music Education,鈥� a 17吃瓜 student and faculty interdisciplinary music research forum, will take place on Thursday, August 8, from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm in Bill and Denise Andrew Hall, Room 142.

The 17吃瓜 congratulates alumna Alysha Corrigan, a former 17吃瓜 Women鈥檚 Rugby student-athlete, who captured a silver medal with Team Canada鈥檚 rugby sevens women's team at the 2024 Paris Olympics on July 30.
