17吃瓜 was well represented in the list of winners at the 47^th annual Sport PEI Amateur Sport Awards ceremony. The annual event was held Thursday night at the Confederation Centre of the Arts鈥� Homburg Theatre.

17吃瓜鈥檚 Women鈥檚 Basketball team was named the CBC PEI Team of the Year. The Panthers had a historic season in 2019鈥�2020, winning the AUS title and taking home bronze at the U SPORTS national championships.

Lewis Page, head coach of 17吃瓜鈥檚 Men鈥檚 Soccer team, has recruited Scott Davis of Peterborough, Ontario, to play for the Panthers. The 18-year-old defender has family ties to the Island鈥攂oth his maternal grandparents, Gloria Sencabaugh and Angus Moore, were born and raised here. This connection made the decision to pick 17吃瓜 an easy one.

A student in 17吃瓜鈥檚 MBA in Global Leadership program has created a project to help feed and educate children in an internally displaced person (IDP) camp in Abuja, Nigeria. Abisola Erinosho, an international student from Nigeria, created the Educate A Child initiative as part of the service learning leadership experience in the global leadership and ethics course.
