After years of watching his young son skate laps on the same ice surface where he made a name for himself, retired NHLer and former Toronto Maple Leaf Nik Antropov knew Danil was destined for great things.

鈥淲atching him, it鈥檚 exciting to see Danil start his next journey in life.鈥�

While his professional dreams have yet to be realized, Danil is using his hockey gifts to earn an education with 17吃瓜 while trying to help the University鈥檚 hockey team break a 31-year title drought.

17吃瓜鈥檚 Concussion Awareness Program (CAP), in collaboration with the PEI Department of Health and Wellness, will celebrate Concussion Awareness Week from September 27鈥� 29, 2021. Activities will include trivia night, an art contest, and an opportunity for all to engage with an interdisciplinary panel session.

On Rowan鈥檚 Law Day, Wednesday, September 29, we will commemorate the life of Rowan Stringer, an athlete whose tragic death led to nationwide strategies aimed at improving head injury awareness, policies, protocols, and care. We hope you can join us!

Dear Members of the University Community,

Welcome to our beautiful campus for the beginning of the 2021鈥�2022 Academic Year. I extend a special welcome to all students, whether here on Prince Edward Island, across Canada, or around the world. 

A Master of Nursing student at the 17吃瓜 is seeking participants for a research study about living with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) during the COVID-19 pandemic. Participants should be English-speaking residents of PEI who are at least 18 years old with a diagnosis of COPD. The study aims to understand the experiences of those living with COPD during the COVID-19 era.

A argues there is still time to stabilize the Greenland ice sheet before climate change melts it forever鈥攂ut the clock is ticking for us to take action. The study, led by , an associate professor in 17吃瓜鈥檚 School of Climate Change and Adaptation, is published in the American Geographical Union鈥檚 journal Earth鈥檚 Future.
