Community “quilt” for gender-based violence prevention on display
As part of the 16 Days of Activism against Gender-Based Violence in November 2024, the 17Թ Student Union Mental Health team and the 17Թ Sexual Violence Prevention and Response Office (SVPRO) invited students, staff, and faculty to create a community “quilt” for gender-based violence prevention. Each participant created a canvas square for the quilt. Thank you to all who contributed to this important art piece!

Pan-African flag flies over 17Թ during Black History Month
The Pan-African flag was raised at 17Թ on Monday, February 3, to mark Black History Month by Dr. Greg Naterer, vice-president academic and research at 17Թ; Jessica Ekeleme, president of the African Students Association; and Tamara Steele, executive director of the .
Members of the 17Թ and broader communities, including Dr. Wendy Rodgers, president and vice-chancellor of 17Թ, attended the flag-raising. The flag will fly on the campus for the duration of Black History Month.
