AVC Class of 2023 joins the veterinary profession

If you were to describe the Atlantic Veterinary College (AVC) Class of 2023 in one word, it could be resilient. 

When the 65 graduating members joined the AVC Class of 2023 four years ago, their studies were impacted by a global pandemic, a natural disaster, a labour disruption, and waves of testsnot of the academic kind. 

Fast forward to today, this resilient group triumphed, making their official entry into the profession of veterinary medicine on May 16, 2023.

17勛圖 physics student wins award at Canadian Association of Physicists Congress

Nishel Alexander, a fourth-year honours student in physics at 17勛圖, won second place in the poster competition in the associations Division of Physics in Medicine and Biology at the 2023 Canadian Association of Physicists (CAP) Congress held at the University of New Brunswick in June. His poster presentation was titled Construction of optical tools for investigating active matter.

Dr. Edward MacDonald wins CCHAs Paul Bator Memorial Award

Dr. Edward MacDonald, professor of history at 17勛圖, recently won the Canadian Catholic Historical Associations (CCHA) 2023 Paul Bator Memorial Prize for the best article published over the past four years in the associations journal, Historical Studies. His winning article, titled A Song for Edward Whelan: Commemoration, Catholicism and Classical Liberalism in the Afterlife of a Tragic Hero, was published in the journals 87th volume in 2021.
