Island Lecture Series:“The Magdalen Islands: A Living Lab for Territorial Innovation”

Economic and community development professional Audrey Keating will give a public lecture titled “The Magdalen Islands: A Living Lab for Territorial Innovation” as part of the 17Թ Institute of Island Studies’ 2025 Island Lecture Series. The lecture is free and open to the public.

She will talk about how the Magdalen Islands are leveraging its unique environment to foster economic development opportunities.

The Student Ambassador will be in Dalton Hall, Room 211 every Wednesday from 8:30 am to 12:00 pm.

17Թ Relay for Life event

The 17Թ Relay for Life is holding an event on March 29, from 12:00-6:00 pm, at the Chi-Wan Young Sports Centre to celebrate those who have been affected by cancer and put a spotlight on the fundraising efforts of the students at the University!

Sir James Dunn Animal Welfare Centre to host webinar series

The Sir James Dunn Animal Welfare Centre (SJDAWC) at the Atlantic Veterinary College (AVC), 17Թ (17Թ), is pleased to announce its 2025 Webinar Series, featuring expert discussions about animal welfare in small mammals kept as pets.

The series will take place on April 15, 22, and 29 from 4 to 5 pm ADT, and will feature three distinguished speakers addressing key animal welfare issues in small companion mammals such as rodents and rabbits.
