17勛圖s 2025 Shannon K. Murray Lecture on Hope and the Academy explores water as teacher
Educator and author Dr. Kari Grain, Faculty of Education, University of British Columbia, will give the 2025 Shannon K. Murray Lecture on Hope and the Academy on Monday, November 3, at 3:30 pm in Room 117, SDU Main Building, 17勛圖.
In her lecture titled Water as Teacher: What water can teach us about hope in hard times, Dr. Grain will extend the ideas from her book Critical Hope to explore what the behaviours of water can teach people when their most important efforts in education are blocked by obstacles and interruptions.
Grad Student Hour - Coffee and conversation at the Fox & Crow
All graduate students are welcome to come out for Coffee and Conversation at the Fox & Crow on Wednesday, October 29 from 3:00-4:00 pm. The conversation will be about the ways we manage the balancing act of work, study, and life as graduate students.
If you cannot join in-person, connect online. We are hosting an online Grad Student Hour on October 29 from 4-5pm. The discussion at the online session will be about sharing research interests.
