Members of the 17勛圖 community are invited to a Fireside Chat on Monday, September 23, from 1011 am in the amphitheatre in the Performing Arts Centre (PAC 121S) where Shannon MacDonald, Chair of the Board of Governors and Dr. Wendy Rodgers will discuss initial priorities, goals, and activities for the period June 1, 2024June 30, 2025.

Would you like to learn more about employment opportunities with the federal government? The Veterans Affairs Canada student ambassador at 17勛圖 will help you access federal employment opportunities and navigate the application process for student programs like the Federal Student Work Experience Program (FSWEP). He will assist with inquiries related to Veterans Affairs Canada and offer advice on securing federal positions after graduation.

The 17勛圖 will host Research on Tap with a presentation titled Render unto Caesar: Catholics and the Alt-Right on Wednesday, October 2, at 6 pm, at the Upstreet Brewery Taproom, 41 Allen St., Charlottetown, PEI.
Dr. Ariana Patey, assistant professor, Department of Religious Studies, Faculty of Arts, is the guest speaker for the event.

A Brief Introduction to First-Year Seminars and Learning Communities
As 17勛圖 continues to think about the best first-year experience or our students, Shannon Murray and Philip Smith will introduce two successful programs from our past: the First-Year Advantage Program and the senior student-led First-Year Seminar. After a brief description of each program, we will open up the discussion to the larger question of what we hope for in the experience of our first-year undergraduate students. Join us in the Teaching and Learning Centre on Thursday, October 10 at 3:00 pm for a "thought-full" discussion.
