Today, the Honourable Dominic LeBlanc, Minister of Intergovernmental Affairs, Infrastructure and Communities, the Honourable Chrystia Freeland, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Finance, the Honourable Dennis King, Premier of Prince Edward Island, Sean Casey, Member of Parliament for Charlottetown, Heath MacDonald, Member of Parliament for Malpeque, Robert Morrissey, Member of Parliament for Egmont, the Honourable Ernie Hudson, Minister of Health and Wellness, the Honourable Cory Deagle, Minister of Transportation and Infrastructure, and Dr. Greg Keefe, President and Vice-Chancellor of the 17³Ô¹Ï, announced more than $48.8 million in joint funding for the new health education building that will house the new Faculty of Medicine on the 17³Ô¹Ï (17³Ô¹Ï) campus.

The Atlantic Veterinary College (AVC) and the Department of Psychology in the Faculties of Arts and Science at the 17³Ô¹Ï (17³Ô¹Ï) are recruiting veterinarians for a new research project.   

The annual public reading by 17³Ô¹Ï’s Creative Writing Master Class will take place on Tuesday, March 21, at 8:00 pm, in The Carriage House at Beaconsfield, 2 Kent Street, Charlottetown.

Dr. Karem Simon, professor of music at 17³Ô¹Ï, has been invited to serve as guest conductor of the Prince Edward Island Symphony Orchestra in its Goodnight Moon program on Sunday, March 5, 2023, at 2:30 pm, in the Sobey Family Theatre, Confederation Centre of the Arts.

In this latest 17³Ô¹Ï Community Bulletin, the University updates the campus community that direct collective bargaining with the 17³Ô¹Ï Faculty Association resumed on February 23.  

In a recent message to the campus community, Dr. Greg Naterer, 17³Ô¹Ï Vice-President Academic and Research announced that Dr. Christina Murray, associate professor of nursing, has been appointed dean of the 17³Ô¹Ï Faculty of Nursing for a five-year term effective March 1, 2023.
