Every week, 17Թ Athletics and Recreation recognizes two student-athletes for their achievements and contributions to their respective sports. The 17Թ Panther Athletes of the Week for January 15–21, 2024, are Grace Lancaster (women’s basketball) and Noah Sedore (men’s hockey).

The 17Թ Panther Athletes of the Week for January 8–14, 2024, are Bianca Boutilier (women’s track and field) and Kaleb Pearson (men’s hockey).
Dr. Pat Murphy, an assistant professor in biology at 17Թ, has received a 2023 Emerging Scholar Research Grant from the Canadian Cancer Society for his research into the role of bioactive metabolites in breast cancer. The grant is valued at $600,000 over five years.
Deirdre Kessler, a well-known Island author and longtime sessional instructor at 17Թ, will launch a new book, Darwin’s Hornpipe, on Thursday, January 18, at 7:00 pm, at The Gallery Café, Great George Street, Charlottetown.

The Atlantic Veterinary College (AVC), 17Թ, is now accepting nominations for the Atlantic Award of Excellence in Veterinary Medicine and Animal Care.
