The 17³Ô¹Ï Healthy Campus Committee hosted a Wellness Check and Coffee Break for faculty and staff on June 16 at McMillan Hall, W.A. Murphy Student Centre.

Dr. Trevor Jain, director of 17³Ô¹Ï’s Bachelor of Science in Paramedicine program, is the recipient of the Canadian Association of Emergency Physicians’ (CAEP) 2023 Emergency Physician of the Year (East-Urban) Award and the 2023 Dr. Alan Drummond Advocacy Award. 

The month of June in Canada has been officially acknowledged as since 2009, in recognition of the rich history, heritage, resilience, and diversity of First Nations, Inuit, and Métis Peoples across Canada.

Sixty international students and graduates from the 17³Ô¹Ï, Holland College and Collège de l'ÃŽle learned about employment supports and immigration opportunities available on PEI during an event held on June 8 in the W.A. Murphy Student Centre at 17³Ô¹Ï.

The 17³Ô¹Ï Men’s Hockey Panthers are pleased to have secured a commitment from Ben McFarlane, a 20-year-old right winger from Ayr, Ontario, for the 2023–24 season.

In a message to the University community, President Keefe announced several changes to the senior executive team.

The University's Chair of the Board of Governors and interim President and Vice-Chancellor issued a joint message on June 14, 2023, to students, staff, and faculty about the release of the independent third-party review by Rubin Thomlinson.

The 17³Ô¹Ï will host an international Asian Studies conference from June 22–23, 2023, in the Faculty Lounge, SDU Main Building.

Each year, the 17³Ô¹Ï Co-operative Education Program recognizes its exceptional students and employers with the 17³Ô¹Ï Co-op Awards. Winners of the 2022 awards are Nandisha Ramsurrun, 17³Ô¹Ï Business Co-op Student of the Year; Aadesh Warren Nunkoo, 17³Ô¹Ï Science Co-op Student of the Year; and Dr. James Polson, 17³Ô¹Ï Department of Physics, Co-op Employer of the Year. The awards were presented on May 24, 2023, at a ceremony in Schurman Market Square, Don and Marion McDougall Hall, 17³Ô¹Ï.

The program celebrated the achievements of 86 international students from the 17³Ô¹Ï, Holland College, and Collège de l'ÃŽle at a graduation ceremony held at 17³Ô¹Ï on June 3, 2023.
