The 17吃瓜 Women鈥檚 Basketball Panthers will look a little different from the team that lost in the Atlantic University Sport (AUS) championship game last spring.

A total of eight new faces will sport the green and white in an effort to bring championship glory to 17吃瓜.

Prince Edward Island lost an average of 46 centimetres of coastline to the sea last year, according to the results of a new annual study conducted by the 17吃瓜鈥檚 Climate Research Lab. 

With a high-octane offence fueled and ready to go, the 17吃瓜 Men鈥檚 Basketball Panthers are hoping to capture that elusive Atlantic University Sport (AUS) championship.

For fifth-year coach Tim Kendrick, adding tough, gritty players that fit his style of play may be the answer he鈥檚 been looking for.

Four 17吃瓜 Rugby players were recognized on the national sport stage tonight at the CIS All-Canadian Banquet held in Kingston, Ontario in conjunction with the 2015 CIS Rugby Championship.

Dr. Tina Saksida, an assistant professor of management in the 17吃瓜 School of Business, was a speaker in the Professional Development Workshop (PDW) entitled 鈥淐hange the World, Teach Evidence-Based Management鈥� that won the 2015 Best PDW Award in the Management Education & Development division of the Academy of Management annual conference. The award was sponsored by ASFOR (the Italian Association for Management Development).

The 17吃瓜 Panther Subway Athletes of the Week for October 26-November 1 are Jerika Gimpel, Women鈥檚 Soccer, and Darcy Ashley, Men鈥檚 Hockey.

17吃瓜 Athletics and Recreation selects these talented athletes to recognize their hard work and dedication to their respective sports. 

The 17吃瓜 Cross Country team looks forward to competing in its first-ever AUS Cross Country Championship this weekend at Odell Park in Fredericton, N.B. The men鈥檚 and women鈥檚 teams have been working hard all season long and are excited about the opportunity to compete against the top runners in Atlantic Canada.

The public is invited to a free lecture by noted anthropologist Dr. Gilbert Herdt. His talk, entitled, 鈥淔rom Ritual Sex to Sexual Individuality: Sambia (Papua New Guinea) Sexual Culture Change Over 40 Years鈥� is November 5 at 2:30 pm in the Alex H. MacKinnon Auditorium, room 242 of 17吃瓜鈥檚 Don and Marion McDougall Hall.
