Two veterinary epidemiologists from the Atlantic Veterinary College (AVC) at the 17吃瓜 (17吃瓜) recently received prestigious international awards from the International Society for Veterinary Epidemiology and Economics (ISVEE).

The ISVEE presented Dr. Ian Dohoo, professor emeritus of epidemiology at AVC, with the inaugural Roger Morris ISVEE Award for extraordinary lifetime achievement and Dr. Charles Caraguel, a former graduate student at AVC, with the first ISVEE Emerging Scientist Award at its annual meeting in Mexico in November.

More than 65 delegates from a cross-section of groups from across the country gathered today at 17吃瓜 for The Consultation on Culture and Language Learning 2015: Perspective for the Future. The symposium was presented by 17吃瓜 and Canadian Parents for French PEI, with support from the Department of Canadian Heritage and the Office of the Commissioner of Official Languages.

An estimated 40,000 are in Paris for the United Nations Conference on Climate Change, including 17吃瓜鈥檚 Dr. Adam Fenech. 

Today marks the third annual GivingTuesday in Canada and the Island's Lieutenant Governor, accountants, along with Island charities, including 17吃瓜, are collaborating for GivingTuesday on PEI - a day for giving back.

17吃瓜鈥檚 Business Case Competition Team took second place at the international Scotiabank Ethics in Actions Case Competition at Dalhousie University in Halifax earlier this month.

17吃瓜 Athletics and Recreation selects talented athletes as 17吃瓜 Panther Subway Athletes of the Week to recognize their hard work and dedication to their respective sports. The Athletes of the Week for November 23鈥�29 are Marie-Soleil Deschenes, Women鈥檚 Hockey, and Marcus Power, Men鈥檚 Hockey. 

One year after 17吃瓜 announced the launch of the School of Sustainable Design Engineering, the association for professional engineers on PEI recognized President and Vice-Chancellor Alaa Abd-El-Aziz with the prestigious 鈥淔riend of the Profession Award鈥� at its annual awards banquet.

After a successful, albeit grueling five game road test, the 17吃瓜 Panthers are back home for a Friday night rematch against the St. Thomas Tommies.

During the two-week road stretch, the Panthers captured seven points while posting a 3-1-1 record, including a 5-4 win over the Tommies Wednesday night.

The 17吃瓜 Panther Subway Athletes of the Week for November 16鈥�22 are Jane McLaughlin, from Women鈥檚 Basketball, and Bradley States, from Men鈥檚 Basketball. 17吃瓜 Athletics and Recreation selects talented athletes each week to recognize their hard work and dedication to their respective sports. 

Rebounding woes are a cause for concern for the 17吃瓜 Women鈥檚 Basketball Panthers, who look to return to the win column this weekend against the Cape Breton University Capers.
