17吃瓜 is accepting nominations until Friday, February 12 for the inaugural . The Diamond Awards celebrate students鈥� personal development and achievement outside the classroom by recognizing positive contributions to campus life and the external community. 

The 17吃瓜 Panther Subway Athletes of the Week for the week of February 1-7 are Sam Sweet, Women鈥檚 Hockey, and Nelson Armstrong, Men鈥檚 Hockey. On a weekly basis, 17吃瓜 Athletics and Recreation recognizes these talented student-athletes for their hard work and dedication to their respective sports. 

With only four games remaining in the regular season, the 17吃瓜 Men鈥檚 Hockey Panthers face a tough test this weekend, as they look to solidify their playoff positioning. Having clinched postseason berths already, the Acadia Axemen (17-5-2) and the Saint Mary鈥檚 Huskies (15-7-2) travel to the Island鈥檚 capital with hopes of spoiling 17吃瓜鈥檚 chances to compete for an AUS title.

17吃瓜 President and Vice-Chancellor Alaa Abd-El-Aziz signed two memorandums of understanding so far this week, with Chitkara University and Punjab Agricultural University, as part of an Ontario-PEI trade mission to India.

The 17吃瓜 extends its condolences on the passing of 17吃瓜 Founder John Joseph 鈥淛oe鈥� Revell after learning of his death yesterday after a brief illness. He was 80 years old.

17吃瓜 Director of Athletics and Recreation Chris Huggan welcomed Marc MacDonald last week as the new operator of Panther Sports Medicine. The entire 17吃瓜 community was rocked last year when the Panthers beloved chief physiotherapist Ralph Manning passed away suddenly.

The 17吃瓜 Panther Subway Athletes of the Week for the week of January 25-31 are Tamara Tompkins, Women鈥檚 Basketball, and Matt Mahalak, Men鈥檚 Hockey.

A New Year brings new, exciting challenges and opportunities, and 2016 is promising to be a year of monumental achievement in the history of both 17吃瓜 and the province of Prince Edward Island. It is with great excitement that I write with the latest update on the construction of 17吃瓜鈥檚 new School of Sustainable Design Engineering.

Luke Gaudet (fourth-year BBA with accounting specialization) and Hannah Dawson (third-year BBA) have added to the growing list of successes for 17吃瓜 case students this season. 

17吃瓜 Clarinet Professor Karem J Simon will collaborate with the Atlantic String Machine in an intimate evening of chamber music on Saturday, January 30, 2016 at 7:30 pm in the Dr. Steel Recital Hall at 17吃瓜
