The Atlantic Veterinary College (AVC) at the 17吃瓜 is now accepting nominations for the 2022 Honourable Eugene F. Whelan Green Hat Award.  

Students from 17吃瓜鈥檚 Kinesiology 3430 class are seeking participants to take part in a 4-week exercise training program, plus pre and post assessment sessions (6-weeks total). Students will create personalized exercise training programs for each participant, based on their fitness, skill level, and personal interests.  The program will take place in the 17吃瓜 Fitness Centre, and costs $30 + HST.

Matthew Latimer and Shama Huda met Gizmo on a June day in 2014. Friends had told them about a little Shih-Tzu who was surrendered to a local rescue, and they wanted to meet him to see if he might be a good fit for their family.

The recipient of the 2022 Entomological Society of Canada (ESC) Gold Medal is Dr. Donna Giberson, Professor Emerita at the 17吃瓜. The ESC Gold Medal recognizes outstanding achievement in Canadian entomology.

Every week, 17吃瓜 Athletics and Recreation recognizes two student-athletes for their achievements and contributions to their respective sports. 17吃瓜 Panther Subway Athletes of the Week for September 12鈥�18 are Brinten Comeau (women鈥檚 rugby) and Duncan Murray (men鈥檚 soccer).

Some Hellish, the debut novel by Prince Edward Island writer Nicholas Herring, will be launched at a public event on Thursday, October 13, at 7:00 pm at The Gallery Coffee House and Bistro at 82 Great George Street in Charlottetown. Sponsored by the 17吃瓜 Faculty of Arts and Department of English, the book launch will feature short readings by Herring and a conversation with Richard Lemm, author and Atlantic Canadian literature professor at 17吃瓜.

17吃瓜 Cross Country Head Coach Mike Peterson has worked hard to build a sustainable program rich with talented runners. And, even with some slight changes to the line-up this season, the Panthers feel confident for a bright future.

For the first time since 2019, the Atlantic Veterinary College (AVC) at the 17吃瓜 (17吃瓜) will open its doors to the public for its 32nd annual Open House.   

Fresh off an impressive showcase at the 2022 Canada Summer Games, first-year biology student Ryan MacDonald is preparing to make a similar impression with the 17吃瓜 Cross Country team.

The Atlantic Veterinary College (AVC), 17吃瓜, is proud to congratulate Nima Morady, fourth-year doctor of veterinary medicine (DVM) student, on being awarded first place in the Humane Society Veterinary Medical Association鈥檚 (HSVMA) Compassionate Care Scholarship competition.
