Mindful Movement Virtual Event - Bell Let's Talk Week

Join us virtually on Thursday, January 26, from 6:00 pm–7:00 pm for this Mindful Movement session hosted by 17³Ô¹Ï Athletics and Recreation. 

A gentle movement class focusing on sensations in the body and feelings evoked through various forms of movement, facilitator Maria Campbell will finish the session with a reflection on how the different movements affected participants.

Splatter Paint Night – Bell Let's Talk

Come join the Campus Life Program team on Tuesday, January 24, from 6:00–10:00 pm for a Splatter Paint Night!

Students will have the opportunity to throw paint at a blank canvas to relieve stress and raise awareness about mental health. The event and program is located in our Day Lounge in the south end of the W.A. Murphy Student Centre. There will be lots of free hot chocolate and snacks as well. You won't want to miss it!

Government of Canada partners with 17³Ô¹Ï to support wastewater monitoring in Atlantic Canada

17³Ô¹Ï community mourns the loss of alumnus Keptin John Joe Sark, LLD

The University community was deeply saddened to learn of the passing of Keptin John Joe Sark, LLD, on January 8. He was the first Mi’kmaq graduate student from the 17³Ô¹Ï with a BA in Political Science (1979), and in 2005 was the first Mi’kmaq to be awarded an honorary Doctor of Laws. A spiritual leader and Keptin of the Mi’kmaq Grand Council, Dr. Sark remained committed to 17³Ô¹Ï and was involved in many ways over the years.

17³Ô¹Ï Panthers this week (January 16–22)

The 17³Ô¹Ï Panthers hockey and basketball teams are looking forward to a busy weekend of games between January 16–22.

Friday, January 20:

7:00 pm: The 17³Ô¹Ï Women’s Hockey Panthers (12-6-1) host the Université de Moncton Aigles Bleues (8-11-0) at MacLauchlan Arena. The Panthers are riding a five-game winning streak. 17³Ô¹Ï took two out of three games against Moncton and outscored them 5-4.

What's new in Moodle: Playing with Plugins workshop

Plugins enable you to add additional features and functionality to Moodle, such as new activities, new quiz question types, new reports, integrations with other systems, and many more. 17³Ô¹Ï's Moodle has had a number of new plugins added over the fall that you may not be aware of. In this 60-minute workshop, the Teaching and Learning Centre will take you through all those new toys. From sticky notes to mind maps to adaptive quizzes, there are lots of new ways to enhance your Moodle course page for your participants.
