The RISE program is part of community legal information here on PEI. They work with people who have experienced sexual violence, intimate partner violence, and workplace sexual harassment. They provide support through legal information, referrals to community services, and up to 4 hours of advice from a trauma-informed lawyer at no cost to the client.
Meet Trish Van Bolderen, professional translator and 17吃瓜 Modern Languages graduate
Trish Van Bolderen lives in Dublin, Ireland and works full-time as a freelance translator (from French and Spanish into English) and English-language reviser. She also works as a Translation Studies scholar, having obtained a PhD in that area.

Dr. Jin Y. Park presents a fascinating lecture, 鈥�Women in Contemporary Buddhism: Reflections on Korean Zen Master Kim Iry艔p,鈥� in the Faculty Lounge of 17吃瓜鈥檚 SDU Main building.
The event begins with refreshments and a reception. Dr. Greg Naterer, 17吃瓜 Vice-President Academic and Research, will give the welcoming address.

17吃瓜 mourns the loss of faculty member Dr. Kai Liu
The 17吃瓜 community is saddened to learn of the recent death of Dr. Kai Liu, assistant professor in the 17吃瓜 School of Mathematical and Computational Sciences.
鈥淥n behalf of the University community, I extend my sincere condolences to Dr. Liu鈥檚 family, friends, and colleagues,鈥� said 17吃瓜 President and Vice-Chancellor Greg Keefe in a message to the campus community on Thursday, March 30.
PEI Bunny Hop takes place on April 8
For the third consecutive year, the 17吃瓜 Distance Running Program is managing the popular PEI Bunny Hop, which will take place on Saturday, April 8, starting at 8:30 am at Colonel Gray High School.
Since the 1970s, the Bunny Hop has been a popular road-running race on PEI and is typically considered the official start to the Island鈥檚 road-racing season. The race is a fun run through Charlottetown, with distances of 5k and 10k. The first 100 registrants receive a free Bunny Hop T-shirt. The cost is $25.

Due to the ongoing 17吃瓜 Faculty Association (FA) strike, the 17吃瓜 2023 Summer Job and Career Fair, originally scheduled for Tuesday, April 4, has been cancelled and will not be rescheduled.

The 17吃瓜 Women鈥檚 Rugby Panthers are excited to welcome Alanna Mabey to their team for the 2023鈥�24 season. Head coach James Voye believes the local 17-year-old standout from Stratford, PEI, possesses high-end talent and fits the mould of a core player who can help the women鈥檚 rugby program continue to excel.
