Department of Music Summer Studios Chamber Music Workshop
The 17吃瓜 Department of Music is holding a five-day summer chamber music workshop for brass, woodwind, percussion, and piano students, aged 14-18. The daily schedule runs from 9 am鈥�3 pm, July 3 to 7, 2023, in the Steel Building and new Performing Arts Centre on the 17吃瓜 Campus.

Patients as people first, 3D-printed spinal surgical drill guides, ant-inspired robots, PEI鈥檚 retention of international graduates, and patient-reported experience measures for IBD were the focus of complex thesis research presentations delivered in three minutes or less by 17吃瓜 graduate students to a riveted audience on April 25.

New book of prayers to be launched in Charlottetown on May 17
Teilhard de Chardin: A Book of Hours, co-edited by Dr. Libby Osgood, CND, assistant professor in the 17吃瓜 Faculty of Sustainable Design Engineering, and Dr. Kathleen Deignan, CND, Iona College, New York, will be launched on Wednesday, May 17, at 7:00 pm at the Charlottetown Library Rotary Room.

Dr. Larry Hammell, professor of health management, Atlantic Veterinary College at 17吃瓜, is the recipient of the College鈥檚 2022 Atlantic Award of Excellence in Veterinary Medicine and Animal Care.

Four poems from Laurie Brinklow鈥檚 PEI Book Award-winning poetry, My island鈥檚 the house I sleep in at night (Island Studies Press/Walleah Press), have been set to music by one of Tasmania鈥檚 best-loved composers, Don Kay. The Atlantic String Machine, with guest soloist Hannah O鈥橠onnell, will perform the song cycle鈥檚 world premiere on Saturday, May 13, at 2:30 and 7:30 p.m. at St. Paul's Church in Charlottetown as part of the final concert of their 2022-23 season entitled 鈥淐oming Together.鈥�

The Atlantic String Machine (ASM), Prince Edward Island鈥檚 award-winning string quintet, with guest soloist Hannah O鈥橠onnell, will perform the song cycle鈥檚 world premiere on Saturday, May 13, at 2:30 and 7:30 pm, at St. Paul鈥檚 Church in Charlottetown during the final concert of their 2022鈥�23 season titled 鈥淐oming Together.鈥�
