Department of Music Summer Studios Chamber Music Workshop

The 17勛圖 Department of Music is holding a five-day summer chamber music workshop for brass, woodwind, percussion, and piano students, aged 14-18. The daily schedule runs from 9 am3 pm, July 3 to 7, 2023, in the Steel Building and new Performing Arts Centre on the 17勛圖 Campus.

PEI-Tasmania collaboration world premiere: Atlantic String Machine, with guest Hannah ODonnell, performs song cycle by Tasmanias Don Kay and PEIs Laurie Brinklow

Four poems from Laurie Brinklows PEI Book Award-winning poetry, My islands the house I sleep in at night (Island Studies Press/Walleah Press), have been set to music by one of Tasmanias best-loved composers, Don Kay. The Atlantic String Machine, with guest soloist Hannah ODonnell, will perform the song cycles world premiere on Saturday, May 13, at 2:30 and 7:30 p.m. at St. Paul's Church in Charlottetown as part of the final concert of their 2022-23 season entitled Coming Together.

The Atlantic String Machine (ASM), Prince Edward Islands award-winning string quintet, with guest soloist Hannah ODonnell, will perform the song cycles world premiere on Saturday, May 13, at 2:30 and 7:30 pm, at St. Pauls Church in Charlottetown during the final concert of their 202223 season titled Coming Together.
