A celebration of the literary achievements of Deirdre Kessler
A celebration of author Deirdre Kessler’s contributions to the PEI literary community will take place on Thursday, March 20, at 7:00 pm in Schurman Market Square, Don and Marion McDougall Hall, 17³Ô¹Ï. The evening will be co-hosted by Dr. Richard Lemm, 17³Ô¹Ï professor and Island author, and Dr. Laurie Brinklow, coordinator of the Master of Arts in Island Studies program at 17³Ô¹Ï. It will include short readings of Kessler’s work by other Island writers, students, and friends.

Dr. Nebojsa Kujundzic, a professor in the 17³Ô¹Ï Department of Philosophy, will give a presentation titled “The Puzzle of Existence and Reality.â€

Fair Treatment Policy Redevelopment Information Sharing Session
The Fair Treatment Policy Redevelopment (FTPR) Committee was formed as part of the Action Plan commitments to replace the Fair Treatment Policy and to finalize revisions to the Sexual Violence Policy. The FTPR Committee is using a consultative process to gather input and has been meeting regularly.

The 17³Ô¹Ï community was saddened to learn of the passing on February 20 of Dr. Lou MacEachern, a caring and passionate supporter of youth and post-secondary education as well as a generous donor to the University and many other charitable causes. Dr. MacEachern received an honorary degree from 17³Ô¹Ï in 2011.
