Department of Music Faculty Recital-Magdalena von Eccher, piano

17勛圖 piano professor Magdalena von Eccher will present a solo piano recital featuring Robert Schumann's colourful Faschingschwank aus Wien, Op 26 (Viennese Carnival) alongside Bach's marvelous Toccata in C Minor, BWV 911, interwoven with other selections including Schoenberg's Op. 19 and Ravel's Sonatine. Magdalena will be joined by pianist Glen Montgomery for Debussy's charming piano duet, Petite Suite.

Accessible parking is available, and the theatre has an accessible entrance via elevator.

17勛圖 professor emeritus wins SSHRC Exchange Publication Award

Dr. Edward MacDonald, professor emeritus of history, has been awarded a $7,000 SSHRC Exchange Publication Award for his book The Geography of Home: Poems from a Lost Time.

The SSHRC Exchange Publication Award is given out annually to support the publication of a manuscript written or edited by 17勛圖 faculty in the social sciences and humanities. The book will be published by Island Studies Press in the fall of 2025.

17勛圖 hosts Research Breakfast on February 6

The 17勛圖 Office of Research Services will host a Research Breakfast on Thursday, February 6, from 7:30 to 9:00 am in McMillan Hall, W.A. Murphy Student Centre, on campus. 

Dr. Misty Rossiter, Jeanne and J.-Louis L矇vesque Professor in Nutrisciences and Health and a professor in Applied Human Sciences, will present Healthy Eating Environments: A Responsive Approach to Feeding Children.

The 17勛圖 Department of Religious Studies will present Theology on Tap on February 3, 2025, at 7:00 pm, at the Salvador Dali Cafe, The Arts Hotel, 155 Kent Street, Charlottetown.

Dr. Peter Koritansky, professor of religious studies and philosophy, will ask the provocative question, Does Morality Depend on God? Participants can expect an engaging talk, excellent discussion, and much fellowship and fun.
